As a Sunny Isles Beach resident for over 9 years, I am a proud father of three daughters, husband, and successful businessman for over 36 years. Jerry Joseph is uniquely qualified to serve as our Commish Seat 01, in the City of Sunny Isles Beach.

To My Sunny Isles Beach Neighbors and Friends,  I am  Jerry Joseph and I am running to be your Commish Seat 01, to make needed changes to our City.   I am not taking one Penny from any South Florida Developer and my vote will be owing to no one, but to the best interests of the Residents of SIB.  I have owned the same professional business for 36 years and have extensive budget and money management experience.   As Commish Seat 01, for the Northern District of our City, I promise to involve myself in the best interests of our Entire City with Honesty and Sincerity.  Anyone that has met me personally knows the passion I feel for the betterment of SIB, but I can only be successful if you VOTE on January 25, 2022.

I am considering solutions to deal with our Sunny Isles Beach Samson Park homeless problem, and in other areas, in a compassionate and humanitarian way as to take into account the mental health, financial and social issues that have caused these residents to become homeless.  I was thinking to filter through the persons as to their individual problems and see which ones could be directed away from Sunny Isles and receive the care that is available.  I realize that we can never get to zero.  I have sympathy and the desire to help anyone in a sensible and logical way.     I welcome all input and ideas from my concerned and affected neighbors. Together there is no issue that should remain without a reasonable solution, so long as there is a desire to solve it.

• Eliminate Fraudulent, Wasteful, and Abusive spending of our taxpayer dollars. Stop the construction of $14 million+ crossover bridges and hire full-time Deputized Crossing Guards, with the ability to issue citations, to monitor our most dangerous intersections to make our streets more Pedestrian and Bicycle safe.
   
• Change our building code to allow for no further structures on the west side of Collins Avenue over 4 stories tall, and revise our Comprehensive Plan to bring it into compliance with Florida Law.  To never allow another Aurora Condominium atrocity on our West Side of Collins Avenue.
   
• Have our Motorcycle Officers stationed and Police cars patrolling on Collins Avenue and Sunny Isles Beach Boulevard to enforce Reckless Driving, Speed, and Traffic Laws, year-round.  To curb Jay-Walking through a Police Awareness Program.  This has become an unspoken problem for motorists in our City, and Jay-Walkers should be ticketed.  Why improve our crossings if people continue to Jay-Walk while on their phones.
   
• To hire Newly Graduated or Retired Attorneys studied in the field of Condo and HOA law to work within our City Offices, to assist Residents with Condominium and HOA issues regarding Arbitration, only; and answer Condo and HOA related questions which now cause them to go to private attorneys for an hourly fee.
   
• To install pervious concrete on all newly installed and repaired sidewalks and pervious asphalt on all newly installed and repaired streets to increase the absorption area of our runoff during rainstorms and flooding in order to assist our storm drain and pumping systems.
   
• To revise and improve our park systems to make them more adolescent and adult-friendly with workout equipment and tennis and pickleball courts, soccer, volleyball, etc.
   
• I will work hard to change our City Logo back to "Florida's Riviera" and promote it..
