Jerry Joseph is a very proud father of three daughters, husband, and successful businessman for over 35 years. To learn why Jerry is uniquely qualified to serve as our Commish Seat 01, in the City of Sunny Isles Beach, please read below.
Jerry Joseph started his entrepreneurial career in 1986 when he created Diversified Corporate Services Int'l, Inc. Diversified forms business entities for law firms and Certified Public Accountants nationwide. Jerry's organization also provides nationally recognized independent directors, and managers, on multi-million dollar loans and offers registered agent services in all 50 states. Through hard work and dedication, Jerry has grown his business into an efficient and profitable organization over the years.
In 1993, Jerry completed his first single-family residential home in Ft. Lauderdale. He also won 1st place for the North East District as Builder/Owner and Landscape Design Waterways project with his accomplishment. Since then, Jerry has built several single-family residential homes and managed construction loans, budgets, contractors, sub-contractors, designers and has successfully worked with lenders, building departments, and inspectors.
Jerry moved his family to Sunny Isles Beach in 2012, when he helped to care for his ailing mother-in-law, who had Alzheimer's Disease, and lived with them for three years, prior to going to a nursing home once her disease severely progressed into an unmanageable state. Along with his wife Jodie, Jerry has been an active member of the Sunny Isles Beach community and an active contributor to such worthy causes as St. Judes Children's Hospital, Shriners Children's Hospital, Tunnels to Towers, Alzheimer's Association, and Miami Heart Institute, to name a few. Jerry sits on the board of several highly successful organizations and has self-managed a multi-million dollar equities portfolio.
Jerry has taken a significant interest in the betterment of Sunny Isles Beach through participation in monthly City meetings, and engagement with the City's police department, manager, and residents. He has been instrumental in bringing upgrade to unsafe conditions brought to his attention by Residents. These upgrades include the Pass-Through at Golden Shores Park where the gate closure had been removed, allowing for kids on bicycles and skateboards to zip straight through onto the roadway. This was corrected within 10 days of my notification to The City Manager and his Team to a Zig-Zag exit. FDOT has been pushed, through Jerry's efforts, to finally produce the Mast Arm necessary to the installation of the long awaited Red Light at 189th Street and Collins Avenue. Installation scheduled for March, April 2022.
Jerry and his wife, Jodie, are very proud of their daughter, Chloe, who is 14 years old, an honor roll student, and previously went to Norman S. Edelcup SIB K-8 and is now enrolled in a Magnet School in Miami-Dade County.
